Former HSBC private banking executive assumes chairmanship of Malta bank

Michael Bussey has been appointed as a non-executive chairman of Mediterranean Bank and its parent company, MeDirect Group Limited, which operate from the island of Malta.

Mr Bussey spent 20 years working at HSBC, culminating in the role chief executive of HSBC Private Banking, EMEA.

He has since served as chief executive officer of Schroders Private Banking, Rothschild Private Banking & Trust and Arbuthnot Latham.

Mr Bussey is currently a non-executive director and chairman of Credit Suisse (UK) Ltd.
