Accenture has launched a new business analytics service for investment management institutions, assisting them with benchmarking, analysing and improving the performance of their business processes and technology.
The service will provide industry research and subject matter expertise to the asset management sector, addressing key business issues including client and product management, intelligent automation, cloud, big data, cyber security and analytics for portfolio management, distribution and operations.
Chief executive of Investit, Catherine Doherty, and her team of industry specialists have joined Accenture’s asset management practice to form the new service.
Senior managing director and head of Accenture’s global capital markets practice, Owen Jelf, commented: “Under heavy regulatory and market pressures, the health and performance of business processes and technology will be a growing factor in the competitive landscape.

Earlier this year, Accenture completed its acquisition of InvestTech Systems Consulting Group, a management consulting firm. Accenture provides a broad range of services and solutions in strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations.
Yesterday, thewealthnet announced that provider of software to the wealth management sector IRESS is offering a free IT audit service to financial advisers, focusing on the factfinding process, sales aids, quotation and new business processes, back office, compliance and business practice, management information and client portal and digital services.
IRESS will provide a free ‘snapshot’ gap analysis report containing a graphical representation of the participant’s current proposition compared to industry peers once the audit is complete.
