Barclays Wealth and Investment Management alumni reunite at new fintech firm

There are at least two other Barclays Wealth and Investment Management (BWIM) alumni involved with Network Platform Technologies, the London-based financial technology firm, where Stuart Cummins, who has just left Cazenove Capital Management (CCM), is one of the founding shareholders.

These are Peter Reading, its single largest shareholder, and Natalie Semmes, who is also a shareholder.

Mr Reading is a former director of commercial and client intelligence and lead CRM business architect at BWIM. He has also held a number of technology-related positions at a number of other firms, including Accenture and Deutsche Bank.

Ms Semmes is a former director of eCommerce Technology at Barclays Wealth.

Network Platform Technologies’ founding 10 shareholders also include a number of personnel currently active in or with experience of financial markets.

These include Laurent Guyot, a former head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch debt capital markets financial institutions coverage for the Benelux, France and Switzerland.

Mr Reading and Nr Guyot currently work for the new firm as chief executive and chief financial officer respectively.

Its initial launch is Qwil Messenger which claims to be the first cloud based, secure and compliant multi-tenant instant messaging platform designed specifically for professional firms and their clients.

The new facility is built to be compliant with GDPR allowing banks and wealth managers to improve client service whilst making employees more productive and compliant.
