Blu Family Office has appointed Nick Rees as chief executive.
Mr Rees who has experience in management and investment knowledge particularly in private lending markets will be running and developing the business, which will allow other principals to focus on investments and family advisory.
Mr Rees joins after spending 14 years at alternative asset manager Absolute Return Partners (ARP), where he was managing partner for the last three years. He also became a driector at Blu in July last year, as it was working closely with ARP, thewealthnet understands. He remained managing partner of ARP until becoming chief executive of the family office. Prior to joining ARP, he worked at Goldman Sachs for more than four years.
Founded in 2010, Blu Family Office is based in Richmond, London initially to manage the assets and affairs of a single family. It has broaden its mandate to serve other families too.
