Brown Shipley expands Manchester team with appointment of client manager

Wealth manager Brown Shipley has appointed Daniel Porteous as client manager in the firm’s lending team.

Mr Porteous will join the Manchester office and will work alongside client director, Paul Spann. As part of his role, he will also support the Leeds team.

He has over 10 years’ private banking experience and specialises in providing clients with tailored lending solutions and assessing complex financial arrangements. Prior to his appointment, he worked at Handelsbanken where he was an individual banking manager overseeing a portfolio of high net worth clients. Mr Porteous has also worked for Coutts, NatWest and RBS.            

Mr Porteous’ appointment follows that of Richard Stubbs as head of lending, in March 2017.

Brown Shipley provides wealth management services for high net worth clients, comprising investment and fund management, self-administered pension schemes, estate planning, lending and banking services with client offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh and Nottingham.
