Citi Private Bank appoints global market manager for the Philippines
11/09/2018 , News Team

Citi Private Bank has appointed Jørgen Weber Christensen as global market manager for the Philippines. In this new role, Mr Christensen will report to Jyrki Rauhio, Citi Private Bank’s South Asia head.

Based in Singapore, Mr Christensen will be responsible for growing Citi Private Bank’s business in the market, deepening existing client relationships and further developing Citi Private Bank’s Filipino client base.

Prior to his latest appointment, Mr Christensen was a team head in Citi Private Bank’s coverage team for the Philippines. With over 30 years of experience in banking and finance, including 15 covering the Philippines, he joined Citi Private Bank as a relationship manager in 1999. Prior to Citi, he worked with JPMorgan Chase and Merrill Lynch in Singapore.

Mr Christensen’s recent appointment is the latest in a series of appointments following an expanded organisational and global market manager structure which was announced in December 2017. As part of this expanded structure, global market managers are being appointed in key markets to better align the bank with clients in these markets and bring Citi Private Bank to its next phase of growth, the bank stated.

In February this year, the bank appointed Adam Proctor as global market manager for Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. In April, Simon Kastono was named global market manager for Indonesia and Timothy Morse was appointed global market manager for Thailand, Malaysia and Brunei.

Citi Private Bank’s South Asia business covers markets including Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, India and the Philippines.

With approximately $460 billion in global assets under management, Citi Private Bank has 48 offices, serving clients across 116 countries.
